Twelve Months of Transformation
THE 2026 ALCHEMICAL BOTANY CALENDAR

Each month reveals a new stage of the alchemical year — a meeting of plants, elements, and transformations. These illustrations form a visual diary of changing seasons and inner landscapes.

JANUARY
THE INVISIBLE BEGINNING
January marks the first step in the alchemical cycle — a move from darkness toward light. Winter feels still, yet important processes are already in motion: roots strengthen, seeds store energy, and new ideas begin to form. The raven highlights this moment of transition, quietly observing the change. The bright orange persimmons stand out against the muted season, symbolizing resilience and the early groundwork for what comes next.
FEBRUARY
In February, the alchemical garden enters the stage of Solutio — dissolution. Winter light thins into a delicate vapor, settling over glass vessels and metal chambers. Inside the apparatus, roots soften, structures loosen, and what was rigid begins to yield. The hellebore blooms against the still-cold air, its petals unfolding as if coaxed by the rising steam.
This is the month when forms melt into essence: branches awaken with quiet tension, colors seep through frost, and the spirit clarifies drop by drop. February teaches that through gentle dissolution, new life gathers its first strength.
