A Seasonal Tale of Imaginary Creatures, Symbolism, and Renaissance Imagination.

The first calendar in Irina Vinnik’s series explores the changing seasons through symbolic narratives inhabited by fantastical saurian creatures. Each month represents a different emotional state, moment, or stage of transformation, unfolding through flowing ornamental forms and dreamlike compositions. Created entirely in a digital medium, the project established many visual themes that would continue to evolve throughout the artist’s later work.
