STORY

This is one of my favorite calendars.

Much of its inspiration came from a journey my sister and I took through the Loire Valley in the autumn of 2018. It was one of those rare trips that stays with you long after it ends. The castles of Amboise, Chenonceau, Villandry, the enchanting forests of France, and the quiet sense of care and respect for beauty that seemed to exist everywhere—all of it found its way into this calendar.

Many of the ideas, photographs, and impressions from that journey have continued to accompany my work ever since. I still return to them years later.

I created this calendar almost in a single breath. Even now, it remains one of my dearest projects. Looking back, I realize it was also an important step toward understanding not only what I wanted to create, but how I wanted to create it.
